Open Water Diver
Description:

This is your opportunity to become a qualified Scuba diver. We supply everything you need to get your certifcation.
The PADI Open Water Diver course teaches student divers the foundational knowledge and skills you need to dive with a buddy, independent of supervision.
Young people, between the ages of 12 and 14, can do the Junior Open Water Diver course and when they turn 15 can upgrade to Open Water Diver.

Duration:

5 days full time, or two weeks part time

Advanced Open Water Course
Description:

This is your opportunity to discover new underwater activities, gain confidence under additional supervision, develop additional diving skills, and to have a chance to visit different diving locations.
Young people, between the ages of 12 and 14, can do the Junior Advanced Open Water Diver course and when they turn 15 can upgrade to Advanced Open Water Diver.

Duration:

5 Openwater Dives in 2 days
theory by request (videos can be watched at home)

Course Includes:
  • ‘Adventures in Diving’ manual
  • All Scuba Equipment
  • 2 Core dives (Deep Diving, Underwater Navigation)
  • 3 elective dives, choose from Drift Diving, Night Diving, Multilevel Diving, Search & Recovery Diving, Underwater Naturalist, Fish Identification, Underwater Photographer
  • Advanced Open Water Scuba diver's licence

Must have completed Open Water Course or equivalent, minimum age of 15 (Junior 12)

Emergency First Response (was Medic First Aid)

This is a Nationally Approved First Aid course which is similar to the Saint John's Senior First Aid Certificate.

Rescue Diver
Description:

The PADI Rescue Diver course is an important and crucial step in expanding a diver's knowledge and experience beyond a purely recreational level. Rescue divers learn to look beyond themselves to consider the safety and well-being of other divers.
Rescue diver training readies student divers to help prevent problems and, if necessary, manage dive emergencies using a variety of techniques. The course is designed to be demanding, though realistic in its conduct, content and approach. Although the nature and context in which rescue training may be used is serious, the course should be enjoyable and build diver confidence.
Young people, between the ages of 12 to 14, can do the Junior Rescue Diver course and when they turn 15 can upgrade to Rescue Diver.

Duration:

4 days

Course Includes:

5 Classroom Sessions, 1 Pool Dive and 2 Openwater Dives (1 day)
Rescue Diver's Licence

Prerequisites:

Advanced Open Water Diver with a minimum of 20 dives logged, minimum age of 15 (Junior 12)

Master Scuba Diver
Description:

This is the highest qualification for dedicated divers in the non-instructional path. When you acheive the prerequisites, all you need to do is apply for this qualification.
Young people, between the ages of 12 to 14, can do the Junior Master Scuba Diver course and when they turn 15 can upgrade to Master Scuba Diver.

Divemaster
Description:

As the entry to professional levels in diver training, the PADI Divemaster course plays a pivotal role within the PADI System of diver education. Those who join the PADI Divemaster ranks assist instructors with training student divers. They supervise diving activities for certified divers, snorkelers and skin divers. Obviously, these entry-level professionals can strongly influence the safety and fun divers enjoy during training and diving. At the same time, many PADI Divemasters are looking ahead, gaining professional experience they will apply as PADI Assistant Instructors and Open Water Scuba Instructors.
On completion of the course, the Divemaster must register with PADI apply for insurance to work.

Duration:

6 weeks full time, 6 to 12 months part time

PADI Advanced Open Water Diver and PADI Rescue Diver, must finish with a minimum of 60 dives, minimum age of 18

Description:

Night Diver
Description:

This course trains you in the planning, organisation, procedures, techniques, hazards and enjoyment of night diving. You will learn correct procedures for buoyancy control, navigation and communication, as well as use of dive lights and buddy system techniques, disorientation and emergency procedures, and orientation to nocturnal aquatic life.

Duration:

2 evening (3 dives), 1 evening for theory (video can be watched at home)

All SCUBA equipment for Night Dives and 3 Openwater Night Dives
