Fiji 2024 Dive Trip

In May 2024, we travelled to Beqa Island, Fiji, staying at the Beqa Lagoon Resort. The main attraction of this adventure was the world-famous tiger shark feeding dive at The Cathedral, an exhilarating experience that provided close encounters with some of the ocean's most impressive predators. Beyond the shark dives, the trip featured beautiful reef systems teeming with marine life and fascinating wreck dives that offered a glimpse into Fiji's underwater history.

The experience extended well beyond the water, providing an opportunity to immerse ourselves in the rich culture of Beqa Island. We visited Raviravi Village, where we gained insight into local traditions and daily life. Participants also enjoyed a traditional weaving class, learning how to weave palm leaves and create our own hats. A highlight of the cultural program was witnessing the famous Beqa Island hot stone walking ceremony, followed by spectacular fire dancing performances and the traditional Fijian Meke, showcasing the island's vibrant heritage and storytelling through dance. Combining thrilling shark encounters, exceptional diving, and authentic cultural experiences, this expedition was an unforgettable adventure both above and below the surface.
